Spreadsheets, Sea Life, and Final Quiz Prep!

The countdown is officially on! We have had a brilliant week putting the final touches on our projects, sharpening our minds, and getting everything ready for our big family quiz event. Here is a look at what we've been up to:

🏆 The Big "H2Whoa!" Parent Quiz & Art Gallery (This Monday!)

The classroom has been a hive of activity as we prepare to welcome you all next Monday. The children have been busy completing their water-themed artwork and project displays, and they look absolutely spectacular. We have also been exploring different styles of quiz questions to make sure we give you a proper mental workout! 1:30pm is start time. 

📢 Crucial Info for Parents Attending on Monday:

• Entry: Adult entrance to the quiz is £1. All proceeds go directly toward funding the upcoming Year 6 trip to Morfa Bay!

• Refreshments: Please remember to bring your own disposable coffee cup if you'd like a drink.

• Honesty Box: Don't forget to bring along some spare change for our honesty box treats!

📊 Maths & ICT: Advanced Spreadsheets

In Maths, a group of our digital wizards stepped up their tech game by exploring advanced spreadsheet functions. They learned how to write complex formulas to automatically calculate averages across data sets and mastered the fill-down action to manage large amounts of information efficiently.

🌊 Topic: Protecting Our Oceans

While some were coding spreadsheets, others were working hard as environmental advocates. The children collaborated in groups to design and create powerful promotional posters. Their goal? To spread awareness about the safe use of plastics and the vital preservation of sea life. The final designs are eye-catching and carry a really important message for us all.

We can't wait to see you all on Monday for a fantastic afternoon of art and healthy competition.
