This week's news:
Year 5 Weekly Newsletter
What a start to Week 2. This week Year 5 took a trip to Cilfynydd Water Treatment works where we took part in two workshops run by the Welsh Water Education centre. We learned all about water infiltration for half of the day. We played some great team games where we connected pipes and transported water. The weather was fanstastic and we got plenty of outdoor and indoor time. There was free coffee too, so our teachers were also rather pleased!
We have been clocking, timing and reading time in our maths lessons this week From estimating how long events take to converting between 12 and 24 hour clocks. Did you know it takes over 30 years for an oak tree to grow from an acorn? That is almost as old as Mr Rhodes (tbh he's way older)!
In our language we have been focussing on Diary Entries. We have used the heroic story of Grace Darling to begin using our skills and then written a full account, in past tense, about our fabulous trip on Monday.
What a week!
Have a great weekend.
Stay Dry....unless you go swimming!
