We are hosting a coffee morning for Grandparents to spend some time playing games and connecting with their Grandchildren on Tuesday 13th October at 9:30am. This is primarily aimed at Grandparents but we do understand that every family is different, so if you would like someone else to come instead, please do still complete the form. Free school meals and uniform grants - please read

All Primary Schools in Wales now give free school meals to any children who want them. However, this is different from applying for free school meals, which is still a way for parents to ensure they get the support they need, not just now while your child is in Primary School, but when they move to Secondary School. It also helps you access funding for uniforms. The school gets additional funding depending on how many children in the school take up this funding so we would be very grateful if you could take the time to look and see if it is something you think you are entitled to and whether you think you would benefit from. Teaching Students

Each year we are lucky to host and mentor teaching students from Cardiff Metropolitan University. The school gets additional funding for helping to train these new teachers but also greatly benefits from additional staff in classrooms and getting to see and take part in new and up to date pedagogy. Every year group from Reception up will have a teaching student at some point this year, and the first few will start on October 1st 2026. 

Tesco funding thanks

Thanks so much to everyone who voted for us to get some funding from Tesco for our PPA cooking and growing work. We are thrilled that we have been allocated a £750 grant so that we can help more children grow their own food, cook their own food and learn about healthy eating! Diolch!
