Hello! I am Mrs Flowers and I have had the pleasure of working at Thornhill for the last twenty years. I came here straight from university and loved it here so much that I have stayed! It really is a special place to work.
I read the book, 'Matilda' when I was little and I knew instantly that I wanted to be a teacher just like Miss Honey. I dreamed of creating a classroom filled with kindness, encouragement, and a little bit of magic—just like hers. That’s what I try to create every day—a warm, happy space where everyone feels welcome and valued.
When I am not in school I am a mum to two busy boys. I absolutely love spending time with my family and my friends, and of course my little dog Bea.
When I am not teaching you will usually find me enjoying a cosy evening at home with a good thriller book, a giant cup of tea and surrounded by my house plants! I also love a weekend trip to the garden centre or a book shop.
I love my job as a teacher and I am excited for a new challenge in my role as ALNco.
