Hello  I'm Miss Stanger and I currently teach Year 3. I joined the wonderful Thornhill team in September 2022 and taught in another primary school in Cardiff for 2 years prior to that. I grew up in Dorset by the seaside before moving to University to study Sport and Exercise science in Cardiff in 2016, I then stayed on to complete my PGCE. I absolutely love my job as a teacher, the children never fail to make me laugh and bring a smile to my face, and it's amazing to see them progress as they move through the school. 

Growing up I have always been interested in sport, specificially swimming. I continued with this throughout University then decided to try something new in endurance sports and have since completed a few marathons and an Ironman triathlon. Before I started teaching I was a swimming teacher and coach which kick started my love for teaching and working with children. I try to share my love for keeping active by organising the Thornhill after school club programme and helping with grassroots sport when I can.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my puppy, Meadow, who is a full of energy Border Collie (and likes to rip my house to shreds), training, catching up with friends and family, going to the gym and spending time in the outdoors!
