This week our Troubles and Truces Topic has taken a bit of a back seat as the whole school has been taking part in Celebrating Differences Week. We took inspiration from Todd Parr’s book, It’s Okay To Be Different and decided to make our own version of the book. We had lots of fun recreating the colourful artwork as unpicking the hidden messages behind the simple writing. As a celebration, we enjoyed reading our stories and talking about the important messages behind each page to the Year 1 classes.
In Maths we enjoyed our Monday Times Table Rockstar session where we were focusing on improving our heatmaps for our 2, 5 and 10 times tables ready for next half term when we will move onto our 3’s.
It has been a whirlwind of a half term! We hope that you have a well deserved break and look forward to seeing you ready for the next half term.
