This week's news:

I know that busy weeks are normal at Thornhill but this week has been really busy!

This week our Language lessons have focused on grammar.  We have looked at how to use commas in a list as well as looking at using conjunctions like and, because and but to extend our sentences.   

In Maths we had our usual time tables rock stars lesson and we also used our fractions knowledge to beijing to explore decimals.

In Topic we had a very exciting lesson where we worked in teams to land eggs safely onto the ground from a 1 meter drop.

On top of all that we had an amazing day celebrating Welsh culture in the Eisteddfod and if that wasn’t enough - World Book Day as well.

The children have been amazing all week and we have been so impressed with the effort they put into the Eisteddfod and the support and kindness that was shown to their friends and team mates during the competition.  Thank you for the amazing costumes on World Book Day - the children (and adults) had a brilliant day celebrating books and the joy reading can bring.
