This week's news:

It’s been brilliant to welcome everyone back into school after the Easter break.  From what we have heard it sounds like you all had a great break!

We got straight back into learning this week with the children starting their new enquiry / topic - H2Woah!  This is a water based topic and will take us all the way up to the end of Year 4.

In Language we started reading a story called The Secret Sky Garden.  We looked at the first few pages of this story to think about the setting and character.  We also noticed the author used sounds to help describe the setting so we wrote a poem based on sounds - these were brilliant!

In Maths we started to look at measurements, especially measuring in meters and kilometers and then converting them from one to another.

In Topic we visited the pond area in the school to see if, with a bit of love and care, Year 4 can bring it back to its former glory.  We also had a quiz about water to help us understand what we already know about water and what we might need to learn a bit more about.

It’s been a busy but fun start to the term!
