This week's news:

We started this week off with a brilliant introductory hockey session on Monday morning.  The children had a great time and picked up a few skills and had lots of fun. We also had a great chess lesson where we looked at tactical ways to start a match.  

In Language we have been busy using drama to reenact and develop our understanding of war time, especially what it would feel like when the air raid sirens were ringing!  In Maths we have had a final few lessons looking at times tables and division and we mainly focused on solving word problems.

In Topic this week we had fun discovering the type of games children played during World War 2.  We had a go at playing a few different games and compared them to the modern games we play today.  We even had a go at ordering some old and new games from best to worst - we couldn't quite agree on the best and worst but we had a great time discussing and giving reasons to our thoughts and respecting others opinions.
