This week has been packed with lots of lovely learning across Year 3! In Maths, we have been working hard on addition and practising our skills with different strategies to help us solve problems confidently. In Language, we have been exploring nouns, verbs and adjectives, and using these to create some fantastic kenning poems all about our curious-creator, Rosie Revere, Engineer. The children came up with some brilliant ideas and showed lots of creativity in their writing!

In Whole Class Reading, we enjoyed reading Same, Same but Different, and the children loved comparing the lives of the two boys in the story. This led to some great discussions about different countries and the things that represent them. In Inquiry, we explored national symbols from around the world, including flowers, foods, vegetables and flags. We then turned our focus to Wales, learning about some of the things that make our country special. The children finished the week by writing postcards to a stranger across the world, sharing information about Wales, including our castles, Welsh language, daffodils and our famous red dragon flag. We have been so impressed with the children's enthusiasm and thoughtful ideas this week. Have a wonderful weekend!
