This week's news:
Year 3 really hit the ground running this week after a restful half term. We’ve started work on our new inquiry, which explores whether ‘technology makes our lives better’. We’ve discussed what technology is, and have started to reflect on how it has impacted our lives as it has evolved over time. We also had some very exciting visitors this week from Junior STEM who led a workshop on Lego robotics - the children designed and built cars, before syncing them to Bluetooth and inputting instructions for them to follow using iPads. Alongside our inquiry work, we’ve described settings this week in our language work, describing somewhere special to us as well as using WOW words to write in detail about a range of different scenes. Lastly, in maths we have been finishing up our work on subtraction, using the column method and recalling previously learnt fact families.
