This week's news:
Another lovely week in Year 3 in spite of the weather! We've finally finished all of our work on persuasive writing - wrapping up with a free write to debate whether or not children should have to work to earn money. Alongside this we’ve also been practising our use of apostrophes in contraction words and worked on our spellings using suffixes. Maths this week has seen us start looking at fractions, understanding how to divide a number into equal parts to give us a denominator and then how to use the denominator and numerator to compare fraction values. We’ve fully wrapped up our inquiry on gadgets now, completing questionnaires to reflect and evaluate on what we enjoyed about the inquiry and what could have been improved. We’ve also taken action by collecting our findings and designing a poster to explain the benefits and risks of reliance on technology as well as discussing alternatives to different forms of tech.
