This week's news:

It was so lovely to welcome everyone back this week and we hope everyone had a restful half term! This week we’ve made a start on our new inquiry which focuses on how people can achieve amazing things when they keep trying and show a growth mindset. We’ve started thinking about some of the special talents that we have as well as things that we know we’d like to work on and get better at as well as how this can be achieved. We’ve also been pushing ourselves physically, recording our resting heart rate and then comparing it with our heart rate after different exercises. Language this week has seen Year 3 becoming journalists, reading the Happy Newspaper and identifying features of the articles as well as designing our own newspaper covers in groups in readiness for article writing next week. Meanwhile in maths we have been focusing on length, finding perimeter of 2D shapes and having races outside, comparing the lengths different cars were able to travel. We’ve been very lucky to have some visitors this week, firstly on Wednesday we took part in a brilliant dance session and then on Thursday we had visitors from Llanishen High drama department putting on a show and workshop for us all! What a busy first week back!
