This week's news:

Another typical week in Year 3 this week - you know, things like maths, literacy, enthusiastically hammering screwdrivers into blocks of plaster in the hope of revealing minute dinosaurs, Welsh… the usual.

In all seriousness though, we’ve had a lovely time! We’ve continued our work on time this week, reading calendars and answering reasoning questions using all sorts of units of time. Our language work has seen us writing instructions for navigating natural disasters, identifying verbs as well as inventing imaginary soups featuring ingredients ranging from ‘finely chopped coriander’ to ‘7 chocolate bars’. Our topic work has seen us becoming archaeologists (or paleontologists), examining fossils, chiselling for hidden dinosaurs and looking at cave paintings. The children have also been hard at work with Miss Martin on our Mother’s Day cards ready for this Sunday! It was lovely to see and speak to so many parents yesterday evening, and we look forward to seeing everyone else on Tuesday! Have a lovely weekend all!
