This week's news:
What a glorious June week it has been! The sun has been shining (presumably, somewhere, not here), the birds have been singing (whilst sheltering in bird houses) and the flowers are looking chuffed (and rather hydrated). The rain hasn’t been enough to stop Year 3 though as we’ve had another week of working hard. In maths we’ve been reading analogue and digital clocks, working out how long different activities take and using teaching clocks to demonstrate time passing. In language we’ve been back to taking on the roles of journalists, practising researching for and writing news stories before getting back into our groups and completing our newspapers which are looking absolutely brilliant - there are a lot of budding writers and story tellers in Year 3! Much of our inquiry work has made way for testing this week, but we’ve managed to squeeze in some mind boggling maths challenges and have answered questions on how different activities impact our heart rate using our data from last week.
