This week's news:
We have had a lovely first week back in school after the Easter break. Our story book this week has been The Girl and the Dinosaur. We have used this to help write our own exciting sentences, explore words ending with 'ing' and create story maps ready for story writing next week. In maths we have been continuing our learning of money and coins. We have explored how we can use coins to make different amounts of money and solved lots of problems using coins. In our Inquiry work we have continued to explore different types of dinosaurs, learning about herbivores and carnivores and creating our own dinosaur pictures. In welsh we are continuing to learn the sentence pattern 'Dw i'n hoffi...achos mae'n...' which means 'I like...because it's...' The children are learning to say things that they do like and things that they don't like. A great week back in Year 2 and a wonderful start to our last term together. Have a great weekend everyone!
