This week's news:
What a hot and sweaty week it has been in Year 2! Despite the challenges of such extreme weather, the children have been their very best and shown wonderful resilience and enthusiasm. We’ve been keeping cool with plenty of water breaks and calm indoor activities during the warmest parts of the day. This week we have been learning all about 3D shapes, and the children have enjoyed identifying, naming, and describing shapes such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, and pyramids. We have also spent time finding out about food and healthy plates. We learnt how eating well helps us to become fit and well and designed posters to help other people know how to stay healthy. We also talked about water safety and how we can keep ourselves safe in the Summer. Next week we will be looking at some other record breakers and in maths we will be exploring direction.
