This week's news:
We’ve had a lovely and busy week in Year 2! On Wednesday it was Earth Day, and the children learnt all about how we can look after our planet. We talked about making eco‑smart choices, like recycling, saving energy and taking care of our environment. The children shared some great ideas about how they can help make a difference at home and at school. In maths, we’ve been learning about money. The children have been practising adding and subtracting different amounts and working out how much change they should get. They did a great job applying this to real‑life situations. In Language, we have continued reading The Girl and the Dinosaur. The children have been retelling the story in their own words, and they’ve also enjoyed some imaginative writing, thinking about what a day might be like through the eyes of a dinosaur. There have been some very creative ideas! Well done to Year 2 for another great week of learning.
