This week's news:

It’s been another wonderfully busy and exciting half term in Year 2!  In maths this week, we’ve been learning all about mass, exploring the size of different objects and thinking carefully about how heavy things are. The children have now finished their inquiry-based learning projects, and one of the highlights was making wildflower seed bombs—they were very proud to bring these home this week!  In our language work we wrote our own clear and detailed instructions for the seed bombs and we’ve also continued to build our spelling and reading skills and how we can use the information from the text to answer questions. Our biggest highlight this week has definitely been Sports Day—the children were absolutely fantastic! They were so well behaved, showed great teamwork during all of the activities and supported each other brilliantly. We are all incredibly proud of them! After half term, we’re looking forward to starting our bushcraft sessions. If possible, please could children collect a few straight sticks, around 30cm long, to bring in. We hope everyone has a lovely, well-deserved rest and a chance to enjoy the wonderful sunshine that has been promised!
