This week's news:

What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in Year 2!  On Wednesday, we headed off on our school trip to the museum and had a fantastic time. We saw so many amazing things, took part in a brilliant dinosaur workshop and even got to hold some real-life fossils, which caused lots of excitement! The children were wonderfully behaved and asked some super questions throughout the day.  In Literacy, we’ve been busy writing recounts about our museum trip. The children have really enjoyed writing about what they saw and did, and it’s been lovely to see them remembering so many details. We’ve also been working on unjumbling methods, starting with the steps to make a jam sandwich… and then having a go at making one ourselves. Safe to say, they went down a treat, delish!  Our Inquiry projects are continuing too, with the children investigating and learning more about their chosen topics. Their curiosity and enthusiasm have been wonderful to see. In Maths, we’ve continued our work on money, practising recognising coins and working out totals, helping to keep those important life skills nice and sharp.  We’re incredibly proud of the children and the effort they’re putting into everything they do.  Have a lovely weekend, The Year 2 Team 😊
