This week's news:

We have had a wonderfully busy, fun and productive week in Year 2!  In maths our focus has been on using and applying our multiplication skills to become problem solvers.  The children did a great job!  Our writing focus this week has been editing, improving and re-writing our fantastic dragon poems and working on our letter formation ready for the handwriting competition for the Eisteddfod.  We have also been learning Welsh poems and songs and reading Welsh stories.  What a super week we have had!  Next week we will be celebrating St David's Day with our Eisteddfod on Tuesday, children can wear red clothes and traditional or Welsh costumes to school on that day.  On Thursday we will also be celebrating World Book Day and children can come to school dressed as their favourite book character on that day.  Over the weekend we have asked the children to continue to practice the recitation poem and song for the Eisteddfod competition next week.  All of the words and music can be found on Google Classroom.  Have a wonderful weekend!
