This week's news:
We have had a lovely week in Year 2. Our story book this week has been 'The Tiny Seed.' We have used this to learn all about seeds and how they grow, the best conditions for growth and about the life cycle of a plant. We have also been working on our letter formation and handwriting and using punctuation in sentences. In our topic work we have also been making our very own minibeast jars after discussing which minibeasts we could find underground. In maths we have continued to learn about fractions, finding a fraction of an amount and recognising different fractions in pictures and shapes. It has been a lovely ending to the week with the children dressing for Red Nose Day and bringing in lots of cakes for the bake sale. We can't believe it is already the last week before Easter next week and we have some lovely activities planned. We can't wait! Have a super weekend and enjoy the sunshine!
