This week's news:

Happy New Year to everyone!  We have had a lovely first week back in Year 2.  The children have come back to school enthusiastic, so happy to see each other and really ready to learn.  Our book this week has been 'Izzy Gizmo and the Invention Convention' and we have enjoyed reading about her different creations and how she didn't give up.  We have been using connectives to extend our sentences and writing robot descriptions using exciting adjectives.  In maths we have been working on our multiplication skills.  We have been making equal groups and arrays, learning times table facts and solving problems.  Our topic work based on 'Gadgets and Gizmos' has continued this week and we have been focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of differently types of technology.  We have also been developing our speaking and listening skills ready to carry out some research through interviewing different people over the next two weeks.  A super start back with a great week.  Da iawn pawb!
