This week's news:
We have had a super week in Year 2. Our story book this week was 'The Leaf Thief' and we have enjoyed using this to help us learn all about flowering plants and what they need to grow well. We have also been thinking about animals and minibeasts that live underground. We used Ipads to research facts abut the different animals and to help us draw underground pictures. In Welsh this week we have been focusing on expressing our likes and dislikes about different sports and hobbies and the children are working hard to develop their oracy skills. In maths this week we have been learning all about fractions. We have been finding a half and a quarter of different amounts and we are looking forward to develop these skills over the next few weeks as we continue learning all about fractions. We particularly enjoyed PE this week and the children were excellent at rolling and throwing to hit a target. Da iawn pawb!
