This week has been full of fun, teamwork, and lots of learning. With Sports Day coming up next Tuesday, we’ve been practising our races — and the children were thrilled when the Year 6 helpers joined in. A quick reminder that PE kits are needed on both Monday and Tuesday.
In Drawing Club, we stepped into the world of The Hare and the Tortoise. The children learned that winning isn’t always about being the fastest. They created wonderful drawings, designed race tracks, and even carried out some emergency track repairs.
Our classroom ice cream shop has been a big hit. The children used coins to “pay” for their treats and took turns running the shop. They even ordered their flavours in Italian, we were very impressed.
We’ve also started building our Bug AirBnB, discovering what different minibeasts might like in their rooms. We can’t wait to see who checks in.
In maths, we’ve been practising number bonds to 10 using our 10 frames. The children are working hard to recall these quickly and understand how different numbers fit together to make 10.
