NewsletterThis week we have been learning about the different parts of a castle and what each part was used for. The children can now name many key features, and they enjoyed drawing their own castles and labelling the different sections. We also created checklists of important castle features to help us spot them in real life. In Drawing Club, we watched the classic cartoon Wacky Races. The children designed their own characters, invented brand‑new racing cars, created magic fuel, and even came up with imaginative prizes for the winners.
In Maths, we have been exploring numbers 20 and beyond. We have been looking closely at what amounts look like when there are more than 10, using practical resources to build and compare larger numbers. Over the next two weeks, we are hoping to visit some local castles to see if we can find the features we have been learning about. We are currently waiting for final confirmations.
