🌼 What a wonderfully busy week we’ve had in Reception! The sunshine has certainly made its presence known, and it feels like spring has truly arrived.
🌱 In the Garden We’ve been hard at work preparing our growing beds and planting new strawberry plants. The children showed brilliant teamwork as they filled wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow with soil. It was heavy work, but they tackled it with enthusiasm.
🐉 Drawing Club Adventures Our story this week was The Bad Dragon Club. The children created their own mischievous dragons, designed imaginative maps, and set off on exciting adventures. We explored adventurous vocabulary such as trio, unexpected, mischievous, and dreadful, and the children loved weaving these words into their ideas.
➕ Maths Magic In Maths, we’ve been practising addition by holding the biggest number in our heads and counting on. The children are becoming more confident with this strategy and enjoyed the challenge.
📚 Parental Engagement Event A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Pori Drwy Stori session, based on the book There’s No Such Thing as Dragons. It was lovely to share activities together and see the children so proud of their learning.
🤣 Red Nose Day Fun Friday was full of giggles as we celebrated Red Nose Day by sharing jokes with our friends. The classroom was bursting with laughter.
🥚 A Little Request If you have any spare egg boxes at home, we would be very grateful for them next week.
☀️ Enjoy the sunshine this weekend!
