This Week in Reception

This week in Drawing Club, we have been reading The Snail and the Whale. We loved drawing the characters and imagining what it would be like under the sea. We then went on an exciting adventure and discovered a pirate ship!

We were very excited to receive letters from our new teachers and enjoyed writing letters back to them.

In the garden, we harvested some beetroot, washed it, and roasted it. It was delicious and even turned our tongues red!

We had lots of fun playing water games outside and enjoyed getting wonderfully soaking wet.

We also invited Year 1 to watch our minibeast presentations. Before presenting, we reminded ourselves how to be a good presenter:

• Stand up tall and take a deep breath.
• Look at the audience.
• Smile.
• Speak loudly and clearly.

Although we felt a little nervous, we all did brilliantly and were very proud of ourselves.

We were also treated to presentations from Year 4, who came to share their fascinating minibeast facts with us. We learned lots of new and interesting information!
