Our Last Week in Reception
What a great week we have had!
We visited the pond area to see what the Year 4 children have been doing to transform the space. We had a wonderful time exploring and investigating the new bug hotels, birdhouse and fairy village.
We received our Bronze award from the RSPB for experiencing and helping nature.
We joined Greg Bottrill for a live Drawing Club on Zoom.
Mr.Tucker sent us a video message asking us to save the monsters, they were trapped all around the school. We went on a mission to save the monsters by solving the tasks, our reward was an ice cream token!
To finish the week, we designed our own ice creams and Mrs Moore and Miss Raj created a real ice cream shop for us. We put together our own ice cream creations and had lots of fun, especially when they started to melt!
We also made boats out of foil and tested them to see if they would float. If they sank, we didn't give up, we simply tried again. Afterwards, we used pipes to create waterways and took the bears on little journeys, making them travel even faster by using more water.
What a lovely year we have had, full of fun, learning and laughter. We are so proud of everything the children have achieved this year. They have grown in confidence, made new friends, shown kindness to others and become enthusiastic learners. It has been wonderful to watch them develop and take on new challenges with such determination and excitement.
Thank you to all of our families for your support throughout the year, and thank you for all your kind words and gifts. We are all really grateful. We have loved sharing all of the children's special moments and celebrating their successes together.
We wish all of our Reception children the very best as they move on to Year 1. We know they will continue to shine and make us proud.
Have a lovely summer holiday, everyone! We hope you have lots of fun, make wonderful memories and enjoy a well-earned rest. We look forward to hearing all about your adventures in September!
