This week in Drawing Club, we explored The Three Billy Goats Gruff with a fun twist inspired by Monster Phonics. The children drew the familiar characters and used their imaginations to create what might be on the other side of the bridge complete with some exciting surprise monster characters!

We also got creative making Father’s Day cards. The children chose between designing a rocket or a robot card and carefully wrote thoughtful messages inside for their fathers.

During our computing session, we learned how to use the zoom function on an iPad. Working with partners, the children took photographs of minibeasts they discovered in the garden. They reviewed their photos, deciding whether they were clear or blurry, and practised deleting unwanted images using the recycle bin. They then collaborated to create photo collages of their minibeast discoveries.

Finally, we looked at real-life fact files and began creating our own. Our research teams worked hard to transfer their knowledge into digital fact files using Seesaw.
