Mrs Smart - Y3 TA
Hello! My name is Mrs Smart and I am a teaching assistant in year 3. I’m originally from Northern Ireland, but moved to Cardiff to study optometry at university. After graduating I spent 14 years working as an optometrist. I decided to take a break from optometry when I had my second child and I became a mid-day supervisor in Thornhill Primary, which I really enjoyed. This is my first year as a teaching assistant and I am absolutely loving working with all the children and watching them learn and grow as individuals.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, going on walks, crocheting, reading, musicals, and playing the piano and clarinet.
