Mrs Moore - Year 1 teacher
Hello! I’m Mrs. Moore, and I’ve had the joy of teaching at Thornhill for nearly 30 years. In fact, I’ve even taught the children of children I once had in my Reception class – which makes me feel both proud and just a little bit old!
I have a real passion for Early Years and am always looking for new ways to inspire and excite young learners. My mission is simple: to make every child feel happy, confident, and eager to come to school each day.
One of my favourite parts of teaching is working in the outdoor environment. I’ve helped develop our school garden where children plant, grow, and even taste their own vegetables – a wonderful hands-on learning experience. Gardening is a big part of my life at home too.
Outside of school, I’m married with two stepchildren and two very energetic spaniels, Bryn and Jac. We love exploring the outdoors together on beach walks and mountain trails trying to wear the spaniels out! .... which doesn't work!
