Add some cupcake cases to a muffin tray
Break the chocolate into pieces and then add them to a heatproof bowl.
Add the golden syrup. If you have a squeezy bottle of syrup hold the spoon steady while your child pours in the syrup or vice versa.
Finally, add the butter. You can get your kids to chop it into a few pieces with a blunt knife before you put it in your bowl to help it melt more quickly.
Pop your bowl over a pan of simmering water (double boiler.)
Leave it to melt, stirring it occasionally.
While the chocolate mixture is melting, get your kids to measure out the rice crispies into a large mixing bowl.
Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the rice crispies and give it a good mix.
Make sure everything is well mixed so the rice crispies are all coated in chocolate.
Give your kids spoons and get them to fill the cases with the chocolate covered rice crispies.
Add some decorations on top.
Chill the chocolate crispie cakes in the fridge for a few hours to set.
