There are a number of different funding streams available under Erasmus+ for which UK schools and colleges providing general, vocational or technical education at any level from pre-school to upper secondary education can apply. Thornhill Primary School is working closely with Cardiff's International School Linking Team to bring Erasmus Plus experiences to our staff and children.
Thornhill Primary is currently involved in a Key Action 2 project which means that funding is available for Strategic partnerships between schools and local/regional school authorities, teacher training institutions and departments, and other types of organisations active in education, training or the youth sector. The aim of the partnership is to create a group to tackle particular issues related to schools education, such as teaching standards, entrepreneurship, citizenship, basic skills or linguistic skills, through collaboration and innovation. We are currently working on a Science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) project with schools and high education institutions in Cardiff, Wales, Warsaw, Poland and Ferrol, Spain.
If you would like to find out more about the process, please contact Miss Berry via the school office.
